Jerron Hawkins

“No matter how far you go in life, always remember to reach back and pull as you climb!”, a motto coined and lived by Jerron Hawkins.

Jerron is a recent graduate of Howard University, with a Bachelors of Science in Political Science and a minor in Economics. While at Howard, he was a member of many organizations on campus, not limited to but including: Freshman Leadership Academy (FLA), Resident Assistant in College Hall South, The International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi – Iota Rho Chapter, and served for three consecutive years on the General Elections Commission as the Undergraduate Director of Elections and as the Howard University Elections Commissioner. While still in undergrad, Jerron most notably interned at the White House during the Obama Administration in the Office of Cabinet Affairs, in addition to being a mentee under President Obama’s “My Brother’s Keeper Initiative”, coordinated with the White House’s Mentorship and Leadership program. He interned on Capitol Hill as a member of the Summer 2018 Cohort of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation “Emerging Leaders Program”.


As a recent Howard graduate, Jerron aspires to pursue a dual graduate degree and obtain his J.D./M.B.A. He has dreamed of being a criminal and corporate lawyer since his sophomore year in high school, and throughout his matriculation at Howard, he has also developed a passion to enter into politics upon graduation from business and law school. Jerron’s life has always mirrored and exemplified service as he stood on the shoulders of those who paved the way for him. He plans to use his resources as a lawyer to give back to the community, from servicing minority businesses through corporate law to performing pro-bono work for wrongfully incarcerated inmates. Jerron has goals to create financial literacy programs for young people of color, establish mentorship programs for young men who lack the presence of a male role model, and host college readiness workshops in underprivileged communities. His hobbies include reading, watching movies, and swimming.


Jerron founded Reach Foundation & serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Reaching for the Stars by creating, communicating, and implementing the Foundation’s vision, mission, and overall direction. Jerron’s vision for the Office of the Chief Executive Officer is to set strategy and direction, model and set the company’s culture, values, and behavior, build and lead the senior executive team, and lastly to allocate capital to the Foundation’s priorities.
